This time the price of gold dropped to 2449 Taka

News Desk: Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has reduced the price of gold by Tk 2,449 and set a new price. As a result, the price of good quality gold in the country's market has come down to Tk 84,006. Bajus said in a statement on Thursday (September 24). The new price of gold will be effective from Thursday.

According to Bajus' notification, the price of gold and silver ornaments has been fixed in the Bangladesh market from September 24 as per the decision of Bajus considering the general buyers as the price of gold has come down in the international market. ‘From today (September 24), the price of good quality, i.e. 22 carat bhari (11.64 grams) gold has been reduced by Tk 2,449 to Rs 74,006. The price of 21 carat gold has been fixed at Tk 80,859, 18 carat gold at Tk 72,111 and traditional gold at Tk 51,006.

However, the price of silver has been fixed at Tk 933. According to the category, the price of 22 carat heavy silver has been fixed at 1516 taka. The price of 21 carat silver has been fixed at Tk 1,435, 18 carat silver at Tk 1,225 and traditional silver at Rs 933.

Earlier, on September 16, Bajus had increased the price by Tk 2,449 per fill. Earlier, Bajus had reduced the price of gold on August 13 and 21. As per the price fixed on September 18, 22 carat gold has been sold at Tk 8,457, 21 carat gold at Tk 83,307, 18 carat gold at Tk 64,580 and traditional gold at Tk 54,236.
