Police Super exchanges meeting at Bhurungamari in Kurigram to curb drug and extortion

Kurigram Correspondent: A public awareness meeting has been held at Bhurungamari in Kurigram to prevent road accidents, extortion in transport and drugs. The meeting was organized by Bhurungamari police at the Sonahat Degree College auditorium of the upazila on Saturday noon. Bhurungamari police officer in charge Muha. Mohammad Mahibul Islam Khan (BPM) Superintendent of Police, Kurigram was present as the chief guest in the presentation of Atiyar Rahman.

Upazila Parishad Chairman Nurunnabi Chowdhury, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Deepak Kumar Dev Sharma and Senior ASP Shawkat Ali were present as special guests. Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr Abu Sajjad Mohammad Sayem, Sonahat Degree College Principal Babul Akter, Press Club President Anwarul Haque, Uttar Dharla Motor Owners Association General Secretary Swapan Kumar Saha and others.

Speaking as the chief guest, the Superintendent of Police said, "Everyone should be aware to prevent road accidents." Mentioning the zero tolerance position of the police in drug and extortion, he inaugurated the Nomask, Notravel campaign funded by RDRS before the Superintendent of Police.
